The Future of Food

Posted on July 8, 2010

I have a few food related posts today. The first one was submitted by faithful reader Laura Bethune, and could quite possibly become the official food of the Heath Gordon blog.  When I was in school in Wisconsin, I noticed at the supermarket that there were a number of things that you could find in a can. A whole chicken and a hamburger come to mind. However now you can get a PB&J or a BBQ chicken sandwich that is as convenient as opening a can of tennis balls. If you’re too lazy to get bread and smear things on it, this is the product for you.

The NYT reported on it, and apparently this is being marketed to ‘students, soccer moms, construction workers and outdoor enthusiasts.’ Oh, and one of the major investors is being sued. If there is one product that will define the next decade, I feel like this is it. If you happen upon one of these, I will gladly reimburse you for it via paypal, as long as you get a picture and you write up a testimonial. I’ll keep my eyes peeled.
